Peavey UK has announced a partnership with The Guitar Magazine to give away two VIP tickets to its Guitar Masterclass event with Peavey Amplification artist and rockabilly guitarist Darrel Higham.
UK residents can enter for free to attend the event, which takes place on 22nd February 2018 at the famous Dingwalls music venue in Camden, London. The prize also includes a year’s subscription to The Guitar Magazine.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential and technically gifted rockabilly guitarists, Darrel Higham has worked with high profile artists such as Jeff Beck, Shakin’ Stevens and Chrissie Hynde as well as extensive solo and duo projects including ‘Darrel Higham & The Enforcers’ and ‘Kat Men’. 2008 onwards saw Darrel ply his trade as the lead guitarist in the Imelda May band, whose albums ‘Love Tattoo ‘and ‘Mayhem’ reached number one in Ireland.
Darrel is a long-serving Peavey artist and exclusively plays through Delta Blues amplifiers. He says: ‘The Delta Blues is a happy medium for me – it’s got a lot of virtues of vintage amps, but it’s modern and reliable. They are the two attributes that I really want in the equipment that I use.’
The Guitar Magazine Masterclass 2018 series includes two more events in March with acoustic percussive acoustic master Jon Gomm and shred virtuoso Guthrie Govan.
Entry to the Darrel Higham Masterclass ticket giveaway closes at 11:59pm GMT on 28th December 2017.
