NEXI to show new powered pedalboards

NEXI, the innovative Dutch pedal and pedal systems maker (which still seems to be without UK distribution) is about to unveil its new powered pedalboards at Winter NAMM.

Designed to be small enough to fit in a carry-on luggage bag, the NEXI Electric and the NEXI Bass pedalboards are designed to be reliable for touring musicians.

The NEXI Electric pedalboard has four slots, allowing users to ‘Click ‘n Play’ any of the 18 different NEXI analogue, true bypass, effect pedals plus additional key features such as: build in DI, XLR balanced out, tuner with huge display, built-in three step booster and built-in (worldwide) power supply. NEXI says this one unit: ‘supports all the convenience any guitarist wants’ but adds that users aren’t limited to using NEXI’s own pedals – other types can be mounted using the conNEXI adapter (sold separately). With the added, 12VDC output players can also feed external pedals like a wah wah or an active volume pedal.

Besides a normal unbalanced jack output that can run into any amp, the NEXI Electric pedalboard also includes a pre-amp with balanced XLR and Jack outputs allowing players to plug directly into a mixing-desk. There is also a speaker simulation on board for maximum versatility when performing and recording.

The NEXI Bass pedalboard offers similar facilities, dispensing with the need for potentially unreliable leads, connectors and power supplies. Including an internal power supply and up to 12V DC external output, players can choose from NEXI’s line of true-bypass analogue bass effect pedals that easily click into the NEXI Bass pedalboard, or they can choose to hook up four of their own pedals using the ConNEXI adapter, sold separately.

The four-slot NEXI Bass also includes a built-in tuner with large display and a 3-step clean booster. NEXI Bass also carries a built-in pre-amped DI with voice-balanced and unbalanced output. In the absence of a backline, the onboard voiced preamp gives players the option to go direct into a mixer without losing their analogue sound.
