For some weeks now we have been monitoring the Covid 19 pandemic with the benefit of advance warning from our global distributor network and staff in Asia.
In light of the unprecedented nature of the Corona virus crisis and it’s effect on business we have made a decision to put a structure in place to aid and support our loyal Tanglewood retail stores.
We hope we are very much recognised within the industry for supporting retailers and trying to create and drive customer traffic to their stores through our popular consumer facing market campaigns and now when we need such positivity more than ever we hope we can play a significant part in revenue creation for all those same retailers through an investment we’ve made in our web platform.
Our objective now, in this period of crisis, is to ignite enthusiasm amongst consumers for interacting with music during possible enforced periods of isolation and to encourage those consumers to support their local music store by temporarily deploying our online information website as an e-commerce site for the Tanglewood dealer network. At this early stage it is going to be configured to create sales for our UK & Eire retailers enabling all our partners to continue to serve their customers with Tanglewood instruments and accessories.
It will be marketed as a “Direct to Door “ service operated on behalf of the Tanglewood retail partners.
We will select, quality check and despatch all purchased products and every sale made will be linked for the full financial benefit to the most local partner to the purchasers delivery address.
The sale will be confirmed as being from the local retailer and the full sale proceeds will go to that local dealer.
This Direct to Door service will be limited in its timing to coincide with the restrictions placed upon public retail establishments and when deemed safe to return to the high street this facility to purchase goods will be removed and we simply go back to our traditional distribution mechanism.
We are making this facility happen to aid, & support our dealers in these testing times and enhance sales together.
Every effort will be made to have the platform live by Monday 23rd March and we will write to every Tanglewood dealer prior to that time with further logistical information.
We hope it gives our loyal retail partners a rare spark of positive news to talk about and promote both locally in news stories and online within their social media platforms.
We will promote the dealers Direct to Door service extensively on our large global media platforms, so hopefully coverage will be strong.
