D’Addario Europe to commence direct sales to Italy in June 2020

D’Addario Europe has entered into an agreement with its Italian distributor, Bode S.R.L., to end its business relationship and for D’Addario Europe to commence direct distribution to the Italian dealer network from June 2020. The agreement comes as a result of discussions between D’Addario Europe and Erik Dentí, owner and Managing Director of Bode, over an extended period.

“The retail landscape in Europe, and none more so than in Italy, continues to shift channels and consolidate” says Simon Turnbull, Managing Director of D’Addario Europe. “Erik’s company is heavily reliant on the D’Addario portfolio of brands and in discussing the long term future of our respective companies, we agreed upon a course of action favourable to both”

D’Addario will provide a direct sales and marketing service to Italy from its France office based in Lyon and headed by Stéphane Donikian, and with support from D’Addario’s European headquarters in Newcastle, UK.

D’Addario President & CEO, John D’Addario III adds, “On behalf of the entire, global D’Addario team, I would like to sincerely thank Erik Dentí and Bode for many successful years in representing our brands in the Italian market. Assuming responsibility for the sales, marketing and distribution of our brands in Italy enables us to effectively navigate and serve the rapidly changing retail landscape and ensure the sustained accessibility of our products.”
