John Bonham Signature Re-Issue Drumsticks – GLOBAL LAUNCH AT NAMM SHOW.

Award-winning British MI distributor, Barnes & Mullins Ltd are delighted to launch the re-issued John Bonham Signature Drumstick by Promuco Percussion at NAMM 2020 in Anaheim, California. These premium Hickory sticks are made to the exact same specification as John Bonham’s original ‘Trees’ from the 1970s and feature his legendary ‘acorn’ tip.

Now, with full agreement from the John Bonham license-holders, these legendary sticks are re-born through the original British brand, Promuco.

“John Bonham is a true legend, and we’re so pleased that we are able to re-issue these excellent drumsticks,” comments Alex Mew, Barnes & Mullins’ marketing director. “Back in the 1970s and 80s, Barnes & Mullins were responsible for distributing Promuco sticks across the UK, including the Bonham signature models. So, as the new owners of the previously long-dormant brand, we’re proud to have reached agreement with the John Bonham licence holders so that once again drummers can own a little piece of rock n roll history.”

Now seeking exclusive distribution in all territories, retailers and distributors attending NAMM 2020 should visit Barnes & Mullins International in Hall E at booth 1300.

The History

Back in 1964, the Professional Music Company started making drumsticks in Yorkshire, England. After a couple of years of local success, a certain Buddy Rich caught on to the sticks and helped introduce them to the American market. Subsequently, Promuco sticks came to the attention of a growing number of influential drummers, and it was during the early 70s that John Bonham had his own sticks commissioned by the British manufacturer. The rest, as they say, is history.

Original Promuco John Bonham sticks are still in great demand with even single sticks selling for thousands of dollars. An original pair of Promuco JB sticks are proudly displayed in the Hard Rock Café in Biloxi, Mississippi.

John Bonham Signature Re-Issue drumsticks are part of the wider range of Promuco sticks, rods and brushes available through Barnes & Mullins International Distribution.
