Faith Guitars – Legacy ‘Dark Roast’ gets NAMM Debut

British acoustic guitar leaders, Faith Guitars, are pleased to unveil the PJE Legacy ‘Dark Roast’ at NAMM 2020. With many of Faith’s award-winning models on display in Hall E at booth 1302, Barnes & Mullins – Faith Guitar’s parent company – invite retailers and distributors to visit and discuss the fantastic opportunities open to them.

This Faith PJE Legacy FG5 model is only the second to be granted access to Patrick James Eggle’s sought after ‘Earth’ body shape. This OM Cutaway design is built from Solid African Mahogany all over, but with the top having gone thru a laborious roasting or ‘torrefaction’ process. The guitar is then finished with Ebony fittings and a beautifully grained Ebony pickguard. Electronics are courtesy of Fishman’s Flex-T system which incorporates an undersaddle piezo with a condenser mic.

“The original Legacy models have been an enormous success, and with them we arguably created our finest guitars to date,” says Alex Mew, Faith Guitars’ brand director.  “Patrick and I are really pleased with the darker visual and aural twist now revealed in the FG5 Legacy ‘Dark Roast’. The torrefiedtonewood naturally takes on an aesthetically roasted appearance, so the addition of a rich coffee stain adds an extra layer of depth and really complements the naturally occurring dark greens, greys and browns in the Ebony binding, bridge, fingerboard and pickguard.”

Faith report that the FG5Legacy ‘Dark Roast’s’ physical colouration is reflected in its tonal palette too with a luxuriously smooth low-end, pronounced, well-balanced mids, and a treble range with remarkable headroom.

The Faith Legacy FG5HCE ‘Dark Roast’ is available to order now, complete with a hard case, at a list price of $1789.00 USD.
