New Vigier is very SpeciaAl

New from France’s Vigier is the Excalibur SpeciaAl, based on the 2016 launched Excalibur SupraA but collecting the quirky capital A from its handwound Amber pickups. Vigier says the boutique handwound Amber pickups endow the SpeciaAl with unique tones. ‘For a flavour of sound in this shape/configuration that has not been heard from a Vigier before – not so much a ‘a ‘shred’ guitar, but a real versatile machine, with wider appeal. Providing big, thick and open/transparent humbucking tones as well as sweet, chiming cleans’.

The rest of the SpeciaAl’s fixtures and fittings match those on other top-end Vigiers and the SRP is £2,579.00 in standard colours. The version is shown in the new Limited Edition ‘Velours Noir’ finish launched last week at NAMM 2018 which will cost an extra £409.00.
