B&M ‘Nuns’ on the run in money raising bid

Barnes & Mullins staff are taking part in a 5 kilometre ‘Pretty Muddy’ Race for Life charity event to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Having tackled the 5K muddy obstacle course previously in 2015 in memory of B&M sales manager Brian Nicol, who sadly passed away after a battle with cancer – the B&M team return for a second time – this time dressed in nun fancy dress costumes as the ‘Mudder Superiors’.
Sarah, Laura, Nicky, Kelly, Gill, Becky, Lynn and Jean from B&M’s accounts, sales and purchasing offices will be donning their nun costumes and taking on the tough 5K obstacle course at Chirk Castle, North Wales on Saturday 7th October.
Laura Napper of the B&M Sales Office says: ‘We’ve had a 2 year break now so we feel we’re just about ready to tackle the muddy course again! Our team has grown since the last time too so we’re hoping to be able to raise lots of money for such an important cause.’
The women-only Race for Life events take place nationwide throughout the year to raise money for research into all 200 types of cancer. More than 8 million women have taken part over the last 20 years, raising over £547 million.
