Stones does NAMM

It’s not just the big UK MI companies that show at NAMM, as the North West’s Stones Music will demonstrate this year, when it marks the international launch of its British-manufacture products at NAMM 2017.

Although products such as the GSL5 leather linkstrap, as used by Jimmy Page, the Pub Prop instrument support and the Jumping Cow range of ukulele accessories have been available in the UK for many years, Stones Music’s Mark Pugh believes now is the right time to exhibit at the prestige show. ‘As a small manufacturer/distributor based in the UK, we’ve been hit by the falling pound on the products we import. It seems that now is the obvious time to build on the opportunity this presents for those products we manufacture here in the UK. Our export sales have always been there – we currently supply distributors in Japan, Germany and Ireland – but I believe we could do well by building new relationships with retailers and distributors in the US and other markets. We already sell a decent number of Pub Props and GSL5 link straps into the US but no stores stock them!’

Visitors will find Stones Music in Hall E, booth 1434, where Mark Pugh believes his product offering will fit right in: ‘For years people have been saying to me that I “should go to Hall E, that’s where all the interesting stuff is” and, indeed, some of the products in our catalogue, such as the Rhythm Ring, RISA, Boogie Juice, Magic Fluke, and LogJam Stompers will be our neighbours this year.’
