Supro, the US amplifier brand distributed in the UK and some of Europe by JHS is receiving a significant push with guitarist Ryan McGarvey.
McGarvey was selected by Eric Clapton from over 4,000+ artists worldwide to perform at his 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago, to the Guitar Player Magazine’s Annual Readers Choice Award for “Best New Talent” in 2013 and a year later was voted the winner of “Best Guitarist” in the European Blues Awards. From 1st September he will be undertaking a 30-date European tour accompanied a pair of Supro Royal Reverb amplifiers supplied by JHS.
“As the distributors for the UK and across many European territories we are delighted that Ryan has asked us to provide these amplifiers for his upcoming tour.” says JHS Product Specialist and Artiste Liaison Gav Coulson. “Supporting touring artists, from grass roots to major stadium acts is just one facet of our activities with Supro and having such a talented and hard working musician as Ryan onboard is absolutely fantastic.”
“Thank you so much for the amps!” says Ryan. “They are really wonderful, and there’s so much to love about them. I love the clarity and CLEANliness of the tone you can maintain at higher volume. Also they are very bottom friendly which I think is hard to keep in a combo. I’m playing certain venues with both at the same time.”
