Guitar effects maker Xvive has expanded its range with a wireless guitar system and a compact pedal designed for use by electro-acoustic guitarists.
Xvive’s U2 Wireless Guitar System features a rechargeable lithium battery with life of 4/5 hours at full charge and is designed for use on stage, at home or in the studio. Using 24-bit resolution Bluetooth, it has a claimed range of up to 300ft/90m and has an RRP of £119.
Xvive’s MIKE compact pedal uses ‘Spectral Reassignment Technology’ to reproduce the ‘spatial’ or ‘room’ sound of a number of classic and benchmark electro-acoustic guitar tones, enhancing the sound quality of an electro-acoustic’s direct output so that it more closely resembles the original sound.
“If you put your ear where the guitar’s direct output is picked up, its no surprise the sound quality is poor,” says designer Steve Turnidge. “It comes from inside the body of the guitar, and not the room where the actual sound of the guitar should be heard – spectral reassignment and MIKE fix that problem.” The UK RRP will be £99.
