Gahrens + Battermann relies on the Cameo ZENIT W600 G2 across Germany

When the doors to the annual general meeting (AGM) open, there is often only a limited window of time in which to set everything up – with no room for error. It was precisely this reality that led Gahrens + Battermann to add the Cameo ZENIT W600 G2 IP65 LED Wash Lights to its nationwide rental fleet moving forward.

Whether it’s for an annual general meeting, congress, party conference, or trade fair: for Gahrens + Battermann, these event formats differ significantly from classic concerts or festival productions. What matters most in these cases is excellent light quality and colour rendering, together with reliability, flexibility, and the ability to set up and take down quickly when time is of the essence.

“Our events have a wide range of requirements – from AMGs and congresses to indoor and outdoor corporate events. That is why we opt for technology that is versatile, reliable, and easy to handle. The Cameo ZENIT W600 G2 gives us exactly this flexibility in everyday use,” explains Dennis Rudolph, product management light and rigging at Gahrens + Battermann.

The ZENIT W600 G2 came at exactly the right time for the company: as a natural evolution of its predecessor, uniting proven properties with practical improvements without fundamentally changing the size, weight, or handling. Three G2-generation innovations are particularly important for the everyday work of Gahrens + Battermann: the lightweight magnesium housing weighs only 12.9 kg, and features spring-loaded handles and illuminated control buttons for quick handling under time pressure. The new RGBALC LED engine with XColour colour calibration, which delivers precise, camera-compatible colour reproduction with a CRI of 98 and TLCI of 95, with a luminous flux of up to 32,000 lumens and only 660 watts of power consumption, as well as the new Cameo connect app with NFC technology, which allows settings, firmware updates, and diagnostic functions to be controlled wirelessly directly from a smartphone.

For a company such as Gahrens + Battermann, which operates six locations across Germany for its customers, one thing matters most: reliability that isn’t limited by the postcode. Apart from a few exceptions, the same rental fleet is used across all branches. This approach will also be adopted for the ZENIT W600 G2 in future. This will ensure consistent quality, simplify scheduling, and enable flexible use of technology and teams across locations.

The ZENIT W600 G2 had its first assignment at a major corporate event in Berlin. Since then, it has been used regularly at events, congresses, and trade fairs and has already proven itself in many ways in daily operations, in both indoor and outdoor settings.

“The ZENIT G2 series has been consistently developed for operational scenarios where every minute counts,” says Markus Jahnel, CRO of the Adam Hall Group. “Thanks to Gahrens + Battermann, we have a partner who redefines these requirements from the corporate sector on a daily basis and thereby helps us to continuously develop our products. The fact that the ZENIT W600 G2 is now in use at all six locations confirms that we have taken the right step with this generation.”

From the AGM to congresses and party conferences to trade fairs: The history of the ZENIT W600 G2 at Gahrens + Battermann shows that reliability in the corporate sector is not a coincidence, but the result of carefully considered standardisation, real-world product development, and a partner who knows exactly what matters at every single event, in order to achieve what has been driving Gahrens + Battermann for more than 40 years: Inspiring people.
