Organisers of The Europe Drum Show are excited to announce that the 2027 edition of the event will relocate to Messe Frankfurt, Germany, taking place on 3rd & 4th April 2027.
Having successfully staged the show for the past two years at Messe Friedrichshafen in southern Germany, the move to Frankfurt reflects the event’s continued growth and ambition. Messe Frankfurt offers a more central European location, supported by Frankfurt Airport — Germany’s busiest international airport — creating significantly improved access for both domestic and international visitors.
Alongside excellent global air links, the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region is home to approximately 5.5–6 million people, with an estimated 20–30 million people able to reach Messe Frankfurt within two hours by road or rail. The move positions The Europe Drum Show to become the largest consumer drum event on the annual calendar.
“Having launched The UK Drum Show in 2017, which celebrates its 10-year anniversary next year, it became apparent there was a real appetite for a central European show produced on the same scale and level as our UK event,” says Neil Golding, founder and organiser of both shows.
“Reviewing the data from the first two years of The Europe Drum Show, it was clear each event serves a distinct audience. The UK Drum Show attracts a predominantly UK-based audience of around 97%, giving exhibiting brands complete clarity on who they are targeting. Meanwhile, over 70% of visitors attending the European show in Friedrichshafen were German, with the remaining 30% made up largely of guests from across Europe.
“With the move to Frankfurt and its vastly improved travel connections, it will be fascinating to review the audience data following the 2027 event as attendance continues to grow.”
The 2027 Europe Drum Show Frankfurt will also expand significantly in scale, with exhibition space increasing by almost 50% to 9,000sqm. The enlarged venue will accommodate anticipated visitor growth while providing the largest exhibition hall in the show’s history for exhibiting brands and partners.
“Initially, we expected to grow into the additional space over time,” Golding continues. “However, the response to both the format and the move to Frankfurt has been overwhelming, and we expect the exhibition hall to sell out within the coming weeks.”
Following the successful UK format, the Frankfurt event will also introduce expanded features for 2027, including:
- More Main Stage performances
- New Experience Rooms
- Educational sessions and clinics
- Hands-on product experiences
- Additional interactive features for visitors
