Presenting a combination of contests, clinics and concerts, DrumIsland Fest (@drumislandfest) has announced that the 4thannual edition of the popular drum festival will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine from April 24-26. 2026. The event brings together drummers, educators and industry representatives for a weekend that celebrates the enthusiasm, vitality and solidarity of the Ukrainian drumming community.
According to DrumIsland’s creator/director, Dmytro Khoroshun, DrumIsland Fest 2026 is shaping up to be the largest in the event’s history with more drummers, percussionists and ensembles participating, as well as more support from local and international sponsors, than in previous years.
The list of top Ukrainian drum artists and educators appearing at the festival includes: Oleksandr Liuliakin, Yakiv Taruntsov, Fedir Khodakov, Yevhen Dobrovolskyi, Hryhorii Oliinyk, Pavlo Halytskyi and Oleksandr Murenko.
DrumIsland Fest has also announced that DrumIsland 2025 Grand Prix winner, Isai Chornobryvets (@chornobryvets_isai), has been selected as one of the festival’s “Youth Ambassadors”. Isai, who turns 9 years old in April, is currently on tour as a guest drummer with top Ukrainian rock band, Ulyana Del Rey (@ulyanadelrey). He will join fellow Youth Ambassadors Kyrylo Kushchenko and Yehor Balaban as featured performers at DrumIsland Fest 2026.
