Introducing ODR1X & ODR-mini2 Natural Overdrives from Nobels

Since it was first designed and engineered over 30 years ago, the top-selling ODR-1 overdrive has developed an almost cult following in the pedal market.  We are happy to announce that Nobels is launching two updated models of their legendary ODR overdrive series, today at Guitar Summit in Germany.

Equipped with Nobels’ famed Natural Overdrive circuit, which remains a top tier choice for players all over the world (no more so than with top Nashville artists and session guitarists) both new pedals feature Glow-in-the-Dark knobs, as well as Nobels’ Spectrum control – one of the most important ingredients of the original ODR-1 success story.

The new ODR-1X adds a versatile and conveniently mounted Bass Cut Pot, for even more tonal flexibility that’s extra useful for taming heavier pickups. In addition, it adds switchable True Bypass or Buffered modes and a separate Boost circuit that can also be controlled externally.

While the ODR-mini2 updates the mini-sized original ODR-mini, with the addition of the Bass Cut Pot and the ability of now being able to be powered by 18 V DC, for increased headroom.

Both new pedals will be shipping from Audio Distribution Group in Q4 2024.

The new Nobels ODR-1X is the next generation of the legendary ODR-1 overdrive circuit, heralding a new chapter in the Nobels overdrive legacy. Due to popular demand, a convenient external variable Bass Cut pot has been added, as well as the option to change between True Bypass or Buffered Bypass. For hi-gain aficionados, a new switchable Hi-Gain Boost has also been added, which transforms ODR-1X into a true hard rock monster.

With the ability to control both the gain boost and bypass remotely, along with the unique SPECTRUM tone control, fold-out Mounty-P mounting plates and knobs with fluorescent ‘Glow in the Dark’ pointers, the ODR-1X adds worthwhile flexibility and utility to a time-tested favourite.
