Godin Acoustic Solutions ASG-8 Acoustic Combo

The Godin Acoustic Solutions ASG-8 acoustic combo with on-board effects has been developed with the performing singer-songwriter and acoustic musician in mind.

Delivering an impressive 120watts and looking stylish in a choice of Black or semi-gloss Natural wood finishes and black leather handle, the portable Godin Acoustic Solutions ASG-8 twin channel acoustic instrument combo, has been designed by the Canadian company’s research team to produce a pristine clean delivery with a relatively flat, very natural acoustic response without colourisation.

Whilst created for steel and nylon strung acoustic guitars, the ASG-8 is extremely flexible and ideal for a variety of acoustic instruments, rolling back the tone controls for example offers superb warm jazz tones for semi-acoustic electric guitars, or highlights the natural sonics of flutes or violins, whilst effortlessly producing clear and dynamic vocals.

The rear-loaded, front-facing control panel is finished in black with easy to read white livery, both channels accept XLR and 1/4in Jack inputs and feature separate controls for Gain, Bass, Treble, Middle, Reverb and Resonance whilst DSP effects that include Chorus 1, Chorus 2, Flange and Echo all with Depth control are also operable via a footswitch (not supplied).

Amongst the pushbutton controls that include Phase and Effects/Select On/Off, a Mute button is handy when swapping instruments during a live set.

At the rear, a Headphone socket offers silent practice sessions, whilst an XLR output delivers a very authentic Line Out to FOH, desks or additional monitors.

Backing tracks can be added via offshore sources like laptops or mobile phones via the AUX input or Bluetooth connection, both with separate volume controls leaving each channel free for instruments or microphones, with a +24v Phantom Power push button for condenser microphones.

For personal monitoring in the studio or on stage, the Godin Acoustic Solutions ASG-8’s has a rear recess allowing the cab to site itself with a backward tilt.

Renowned for its exceptional clarity and transparency, with built in effects, a staggering 120w output via an 8in woofer and 1in tweeter producing chords, fingerpicking and solo lead lines with crystal clear sonics, the Godin twin-channel AGS-8 is the complete package for session work, small café gigs or larger venues.

The Godin Acoustic Solutions ASG-8 acoustic combo along with the full range of Godin instruments is distributed exclusively in the UK and Ireland by JHS.
