Dirty Boy, the boutique guitar pedal brand, has been acquired by Madrid based musician and product designer, Danny Gomez.
Stompbox maker Dirty Boy Pedals was founded by Alex Saraceno, father of session ace and former Poison guitarist, Blues Saraceno, to create high end guitar pedals for the discerning player. The Dirty Boy Afro Fuzz pedal has been seen on the pedal boards of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ John Fusciante and the Water Boys’ Mike Scott. While Neal Schon guitarist with Journey has been known to use the company’s Germanium Fuzz pedal and George Pajon of the Black Eyed Peas the Fuzzy Boy pedal.
Talking about the acquisition Alex Saraceno said: ‘I have done my thing with the Dirty Boy Pedals brand, it’s time for Danny Gomez to take over’ and Blues Saraceno added: ‘I am looking forward to hearing Danny Gomez do great thing with my father’s sonic legacy’.
Danny Gomez has worked with a range of top names in the music industry including, Queen, Brian May and the We Will Rock Show, Freddie Mercury’s Phoenix Trust, Ronnie Romero of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow and many more. In his role as a product developer, he has worked with gear manufacturers, including Orange Amplifiers, OMEC, Fender and PRS. His collaboration with Dirty Boy Pedals produced the Dirty Boy T.A.E. preamp pedal, based on the classic amplifier designed by Alex Saraceno and powered by Gomez’s proprietary Tube Amp Emulation.

With immediate effect, Gomez is now the new Chief Executive Officer of Dirty Boy Pedals, with rights to manufacture, distribute and market the brand. The highly collectable pedals will now be manufactured by craftsmen in Spain headed by Dirty Boy´s new CTO Pablo Díaz de Rada & COO Martha García.
The new user-friendly company website has improved navigation and functionality with full colour, high resolution images and informative product descriptions of Dirty Boy’s full product portfolio. The iconic Germanium Boy, Afro Fuzz, Buzzy Boy and Dirty Boy Preamp pedals are available to pre-order now.
