GEWA Music and Ovation Guitars is excited to announce a new opportunity for singer-songwriters from all over the world. Over the course of three days, selected artists will have the chance to create new music and showcase their talents in front of internationally recognized A&R’s and music industry experts in Berlin.
After a careful selection process in collaboration with A&R’s from labels and publishers, three outstanding singer-songwriters will be invited to become part of the Talent Lab, an exclusive event taking place from May 30 to June 1, 2023. During the Talent Lab, artists will collaborate in a Berlin loft, writing new songs, trying out new equipment in jam sessions, and exchanging experiences as artists and songwriters.
The highlight of the Talent Lab will be a showcase in front of industry professionals, where the singer-songwriters will perform a jointly created song as well as one of their own. The artist who impresses the A&R’s and decision makers at GEWA Music the most will receive the newly founded GEWA Music Scholarship, a 7-month funding period that includes
- new equipment
- studio time
- A&R coachings
- a wildcard for the live finale of the ‘German Songwriting Awards’ in the category Ovation Singer-Songwriter in Berlin in December 2023
- and invitations to networking events.
