Dr. Funk and Becky Baldwin along with fellow band members Fury, will be appearing at The UK Bass Guitar Show this April at the ACC Liverpool.
Dr Funk lives to play the bass. Slapping, popping, strumming, riffing, he elevates the humble rhythm instrument to levels of melody and showmanship that are more commonly associated with the lead guitar.
His videos regularly amassing millions of views, Funk was unwittingly brought to the world by an impressed music fan with a video camera. For a while he was unaware he’d even gone viral. But over the years, especially during 2020/21 when street performing has simply not been an option, Funk has brought his style to the thriving live stream culture and adapted busking for the modern age.
Dr.Funk will be appearing on Saturday 2nd of April at The UK Bass Guitar Show.
Becky Baldwin made her name on the UK rock scene as a relentless road warrior. Her touring and recording has taken her around Europe and into the USA to work with up and coming artists.
In between sessions for the likes of Total Guitar and RSL Awards, Becky occasionally works in music education for the likes of BIMM and ACM, and co-owns a private music tuition company ‘Bristol Rock Centre’.
Becky now plays for alternative rock / grunge band ‘Hands off Gretel’ from Sheffield and heavy metal band ‘Fury’ from Birmingham. Her work can be heard on their latest releases ‘The Angry EP’ and ‘The Grand Prize’.
Becky Baldwin and Fury will be appearing on Sunday 3rd of April at The UK Bass Guitar Show.
“We are thrilled to welcome Becky Baldwin and Fury, along with Dr.Funk to The UK Bass Guitar Show,” states Neil Golding Show Organiser. “As tickets continue to be purchased for our events over the weekend of the 2 & 3 April at the ACC Liverpool, it is great, with these two recent announcements, to bring a weekend of musical diversity. Whether it be technical playing, slap, funk or heavy rock, or a clinic provided by the Teach Me Music Academy, there should be something for everyone to check out over the weekend”
