Barnes & Mullins are pleased to announce that their reduced shipping charges, introduced around the beginning of the viral lockdown period, will continue to be offered until December 31st, 2020.
All orders with a trade value over £50 can be delivered to your store – or drop-shipped to a consumer – within the UK mainland for FREE. The same offer is available for Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands with a trade value over £100.
Orders under the free shipping threshold will continue to attract only the reduced shipping fees of £5 or £10 respectively. It is also possible to drop-ship to European countries, and in these instances an appropriate fee will be applied regardless of value.
This means that as stores adjust to the new opening regimes and customer-contact requirements, they can continue to take advantage of these advantageous rates to fulfil even the smallest of orders. Also, by mirroring the cost of shipping-to-store and shipping-to-consumer, retailers can more easily offer products to their customer base and continue to service their local community of musicians even if physically visiting the store is more restricted than previously.
“Continuing this offer feels like absolutely the right thing to do in these exceptional circumstances,” says Alex Mew B&M’s Marketing Director. “The national increase in online sales has actually pushed up the cost of shipping overall, with many companies less willing to take larger parcels or charging more for doing so. We have therefore had to be creative in the way we pack and deliver to our customers, but our efforts have resulted in our ability to maintain these lower costs for the moment. Therefore, with these reduced shipping requirements, we are delighted that our retail customers can judiciously restock their stores without being penalised for smaller, more frequent and manageable orders.”
Trade customers can contact their B&M Area Sales Manager as usual, the B&M Sales Office on 01691 652449 and also order online 24 hours a day and manage their account at www.bandm.co.uk.
