Barnes & Mullins Reduced Shipping Charges Held Until August

Barnes & Mullins are pleased to announce that their reduced shipping charges, introduced around the beginning of the covid lockdown period, will continue to be offered until at least August 2020.

All orders with a trade value over £50 can be delivered to your store – or drop-shipped to a consumer – within the UK mainland for FREE. The same offer is available for Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands with a trade value over £100.

Orders under the free shipping threshold will continue to attract only the reduced shipping fees of £5 or £10 respectively. It is also possible to drop-ship to European countries, and in these instances an appropriate fee will be applied regardless of value.

This means that as stores re-open during next week, they can continue to take advantage of these advantageous rates to fulfil even the smallest of orders. Also, by mirroring the cost of shipping-to-store and shipping-to-consumer, retailers can more easily offer products to their customer base and continue to service their local community of musicians even when visiting the store is somewhat restricted.

“It’s essential that we continue to help our customers as they and their businesses start to re-emerge from this unprecedented period of closure,” says Alex Mew B&M’s Marketing Director. “It is understandable that as businesses restart, although fresh stock will be required, perhaps proprietors will be reluctant to order too much too quickly. But with the reduced shipping requirements, our retail customers can judiciously restock their stores without being penalised for small, more frequent and manageable orders.”
