The Speed King Returns
The pedal the defined all other pedals makes it return to the Ludwig range in 2020. Still retaining its vintage look, the new Speed King comes with a modern feel and super smooth heel plate bearing. Each Speed King comes with a canvas bag to complete the vintage look it is renowned for.
The Speed Flyer
The Speed Flyer is Ludwig’s new top of line pedal featuring an improved beater with traditional speed sizing and increased weight, an improved heel with smooth action bearings, a new toe clamp to reduce hoop damage, new ergonomic wing bolts, orientation marks for easier cam adjustments and anti-slip features for maximum stability. All with a new sleek look and design.
Classic Oak
The Classic Oak Series is the reimagination of the Keystone X series. The Classic Oak series falls in line with the current configuration options available in both Legacy and Classic Maple ranges. The Classic Oak features two brand new lacquer finishes, TennesseeWhisky and Smoke. Each Classic Oak shell is fitted with a Ludwig cast badge in chrome.
Jazz Fest Snare Drums
Following the launch of the Jazz Fest Snare Drum in 2019, additional finish options have been added for 2020. Blue Sparkle, Silver Sparkle, White Marine Pearl and Sky Blue join the 2019 finishes of Black Galaxy, Mod Orange, Vintage Blue Oyster and Vintage Black Oyster.
8-Lug Black Beauty
In 2019 Ludwig released the 110th Anniversary 8-Lug Black Beauty as a nod to its original specifications. These models proved extremely popular and thus Ludwig have introduced 8-Lug Standard Black Beauties to the current range of Black Beauty Snare Drums in sizes 14″ x 5″ and 14″ x 6.5″.
Pewter Copper Snare
The latest edition to the Phonic family of snare drums, the Pewter Copper comes with a brand new sheen which adds a little more sustain to the naturally dark tone of a Copperphonic shell. This snare is from a limited production run and comes with a NEW Special Edition badge.
Breakbeats
The ever-popular Breakbeats Kits are now available with Sahara Swirl and Mojave Red wraps. Alongside these two finish options, the continued improvement sees upgrades to the Bass Drum Riser and Claws.
New Finishes
2020 see the addition of a number of new finishes. Classic Maple is now available in Vintage Bronze Mist and Diablo Red. The NeuSonic is available in a rather striking Digital Black Oyster and the Evolution range coming in Gold Sparkle& Green Sparkle.
Other New Products
Also available for 2020 is the Bronze Black Beauty and Super Series Snares with tube lugs.
