Cort guitars, regarded as the sleeping giant of Asian guitar production, has switched to Halifax-based 440 Distribution for its UK and Eire sales with immediate effect, following several years with Proel UK.
Tom Harrison of 440 Distribution says: ‘We are delighted to add Cort to our roster of brands. With the Godin guitar company, we represent the largest volume guitars maker in North America and now we are representing with the biggest guitar company in Asia. Added to Fishman we now represent three of the most innovative and forward thinking MI companies on the planet.
‘We have some exciting models planned specifically for the UK market backed up by Cort’s marketing muscle’.
Cort’s Jun Park added: ‘We are very excited to start working with 440 Distribution. Cort has great potential for growth in the UK & Ireland and I’m sure Cort and 440 Distribution will become great partners & grow together in the future’.
Speaking of the takeover from Proel, Harrison added: ‘I’d like to thank Proel UK for making the switch in distribution a straightforward process and I wish them all the best in for future as they focus on their own brands in the UK.’
