MIN launches FREE Retailer Resource

Music Instrument News has made the library of drum and acoustic guitar related video reviews from Drummer’s Review and Acoustic Review available for use free of charge by retailers, distributors and manufacturers.

Launched just 18 months ago, Drummer’s Review, hosted by presenter Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood and product demonstrator Nick Carter, was an instant success. Acoustic Review, launched just under year ago features similarly high quality videos of acoustic guitars and related products by leading guitarist Ben Morgan-Brown.

Gold Media and Events Publisher Neil Golding says: ‘Today’s customers research everything they buy really thoroughly and they particularly value impartial reviews, which is why review sites like Trusted Reviews and Trustpilot have become so successful on the web. A manufacturer or retailer doing its own reviews is a useful marketing tool but there’s no doubt that reviews from a third party impartial site carry a lot more weight and can have an immediate impact. As a recent example, a Drummer’s Review video of a new Yamaha kit has notched-up 10,000 views in just six days and another review, which has been around a little longer, has been viewed over 40,000 times. These aren’t made up numbers by a magazine publisher – the numbers are all completely transparent on YouTube.

‘We have always made the high quality video reviews from Drummer’s Review and Acoustic Review available for manufacturers and distributors to use and we felt it would be useful for retailers to be able to use them as well as a Retailer Resource – either on their own websites or on social media, even in the shop if they wish. All we ask is that they give the titles a credit.’

Free to use reviews are currently being archived on the MIN website with instructions how they can be used.
