Newmarket gets first guitar show on Sunday 24th March

As exclusively revealed in MIN last year, music entrepreneur Rob Hatschek is bringing his My Classic Guitar Show to Newmarket Racecourse on Sunday 24th March.

Hatschek, whose first guitar show was staged in Northampton last year, has promised to expand his events into the South of England, an area untouched, with the exception of the successful London International Guitar Show at Kempton Park, by the Northern Guitar Shows pioneers Peter and Gail Hoarty.

The Newmarket show, billed as ‘the first ‘Premier Table Top Guitar Show’ at the Newmarket racecourse’ will follow a familiar format mixing small and larger exhibitors with live music, the latter from Anth Purdy, with product demos throughout the day from exhibitors Gordon Smith Guitars, Auden Guitars, Flattley guitar pedals and retailer PMT. There will also be guitar building and maintenance courses run by Crimson Guitars.

A novel twist is that four entry tickets drawn will be in with a chance of winning a Gordon Smith GS1000 guitar when the final draw takes place at the Milton Keynes show planned for early November 2019. Visitors will also be able to discuss selling their guitars and receive free valuations from the Guitar Auction House, another venture being planned by Rob Hatschek.

The show sponsors are: PMT, Gordon Smith Guitars, Auden Guitars, Dogiel Guitars, Smooth Hound, and The Guitar Auction House. Parking will be free at Newmarket Racecourse, Rowley Mile, Newmarket and the admission price to the public will be £6.00 with under 12’s free when accompanied by an adult. The show will run from 10am to 4pm.
