While UK MI trade attention tends to be focused on NAMM and the Frankfurt Messe, it’s worth noting that Cremona Musica opens at the Cremona Exhibition Centre, this Friday, 28th September. Offering 320 exhibitors showing in excess of 5,000 products and with the involvement of over 400 artists, it’s a significant event, bringing to Stradivari’s birth town some of the best Italian and international musical instruments producers and many world-renowned artists.
This year’s show promises the inauguration of a new hall, the Accordion Show, devoted to accordions. The Accordion Show joins the four existing halls of Cremona Musica: Mondomusica (strings), Piano Experience (acoustic pianos), Cremona Winds (winds), and the Acoustic Guitar Village (guitars). An area of the Fair is also dedicated to the performing arts, with exhibitors including schools, publishers, labels, and theatres.
Each of the four halls will be featuring its own stellar line-up of world famous performers in addition to exhibits of instruments, making Cremona Musica quite unlike any other music show in the world.
