US Pickup maker Lace Products has joined forces with guitar legend Grover Jackson to hand-build the company’s re-launched Cybercaster electric guitars at his factory in Laguna Hills, California. Jackson will concentrate on the Limited Series, while master archtop luthier Jim Ellsberry will handle construction of the new Cybercaster Elan Series guitars in Los Angeles.
First launched in the late ’90s, the new generation Cybercaster maintains the distinct body style of its predecessor, with subtle design changes within the input jack placement, headstock shape and new configurations of Lace’s own in-house produced Alumitone pickup designs .
The new Standard Series Cybercaster, retailing at £1,149.99, is available in Olympic White, Raven Black, Torino Red and Transparent Butterscotch (pictured), features an ash body, maple neck, maple fingerboard and Lace’s own Alumitone 3.4k resistance humbuckers.
The Standard Series Cybercaster makes its UK debut at The London International Guitar Show at Kempton Park Racecourse on Sunday 29th October.
