Cort has added a new bass to its well received GB series, the GB75JH.
The key to the GB75JH’s appeal is likely to be its swamp ash body which Cort says endows the instrument with light weight but a ‘…surprisingly tight and punchy sound with a strong high-midrange’.
The Cort features a Canadian maple neck with 21 frets, Hipshot Ultralite tuners and two-band EQ with passive-active push-pull. Cort says the new Tone Bass Humbucker pickup provides both power and sensitivity for a variety of playing techniques, and an Alnico V magnet with 41AWG wire ‘…maintains rumbling power and clarity’. The humbucker is paired with a VTB-ST single coil pickup. String vibration is by the solid-steel Omega Bridge.
