Zildjian celebrates 25th Anniversary of ‘A Custom’ cymbals

Avedis Zildjian is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its ‘A Custom’ cymbals this September with a limited edition 23″ A Custom Anniversary Ride model. Only 1,000 will be produced, each will be numbered 1 to 1,000 and will be personally signed by Craigie Zildjian. The limited edition Ride will come in a special cymbal box that includes a certificate of authenticity.
‘A Custom cymbals are one of our most popular cymbal lines around the globe and we wanted to create something special that gives drummers the opportunity to own a piece of Zildjian history,’ says Victor Filonovich, Category Manage for Cymbals at Zildjian.’ The Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Ride will be available at select dealers.
Additionally, there will be a global sweepstake, open to all members of Zildjian’s email Z-Club giving consumers the chance to virtually design their own A Custom cymbal with Zildjian’s R&D Team via video conferencing.
The Limited Edition Ride and Contest will be supported by a fully integrated marketing campaign with a message of ‘Celebrating 25 years of cymbal brilliance.’ The campaign will highlight many popular A Custom models along with twenty five different Zildjian artists who have played A Custom over the last 25 years. The campaign will run across print, digital, retail and social media channels.
