Vintage range is CITES-free

JHS says its entire Vintage range of electric guitars and basses is now clear of the CITES restrictions which have inhibited the guitar market since the beginning of this year. Retailers, the company says, will no longer be affected by the restrictions when shipping Vintage instruments across borders.
In place of the now controlled ‘rosewood’, all Vintage models now use ‘Lignum Rosa’ for their fingerboards, specified, JHS says, by Trev Wilkinson, the brand’s design consultant, who confirmed to MIN that after exhaustive testing, he considers it to be the best available alternative to rosewood.
