The UK Drum Show to welcome BIMM students

The UK Drum Show is welcoming BIMM Manchester students Jack Howe, Sayon Beaufort-Harwood, Tom Key and Oli Harkness to the TUKDS 2017 operational team.
Gold Media and Events’ organiser, Neil Golding says: ‘The applications to support our event from the students illustrated a high calibre of skills acquired, both in their academic courses at BIMM, as well as their personal experiences gathered through playing, studio and previous event management.
‘It is so important that wherever possible, opportunities are made available to those that wish to seek careers in the music industry. All four students have been committed in their studies, which was quite apparent in their CVs, but to gain further hands-on experience in a live and fast paced environment requiring a cool head and professional attitude is invaluable and we are looking to add further opportunities for students to gain experience with future shows we are planning’.
The students will work as part of The UK Drum Show organising team for the next three months until show takes place at Manchester Central from 23-24th September.
BIMM, The British and Irish Modern Music Institute, has colleges in seven cities (London, Berlin, Dublin, Brighton, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham) and claims to be the largest provider of contemporary music education in Europe. The Institute offers a range of Higher and Further Education music courses – including BA Honours Degrees, nationally accredited Diplomas and Postgraduate Teaching Certificates.
