EHX applies the Squeeze

Yet another new product from Electro-Harmonix has joined the veteran FX maker’s line-up. The latest is the Tone Corset, an analogue compressor said to work particularly well with guitar.
Setting the Tone Corset aside is the use of a compact OTA (Operational Transconductance Amplifier) which EHX says endows the pedal with an ‘organic’ quality. The Tone Corset offers four-knob control with Sustain controlling the amount of compression applied to the guitar signal, the Attack knob adjusting how quickly the compressor recovers and the Blend knob mixing the dry and compressed signals. There’s a Volume pot too, plus a Pad switch that will pad down the input signal so that the player can achieve a sound where the dry signal allows the natural pick attack to come through while the compressed side turns up the volume as the note decays.
The Tone Corset features True Bypass switching to ensure maximum signal path integrity. The pedal comes with a 9 Volt battery, is available now and features a U.S. List Price of $119.30.
