Impressively debuted at NAMM, Empress Effects’ new Echosystem pedal has been given a release date by its Canadian manufacturer – 4th May.
Despite a relatively small size (5.7″ by 3.75″ by 1.75″) the Echosystem offers 48kHz sampling, with 24 bit conversion and 32 bit internal processing. It also boasts an analogue dry path which can be blended with the wet signal using VCA. A Universal Control Port allows users to connect an expression pedal, external tap switch, control voltage, external audio input and MIDI – all using a standard 1/4″ jack.
Packed with echo emulations of classic digital, tape and analogue delays, the Echosystem also includes multi tap modes and any two delays can be used together routed in parallel, series or in a left/right configuration. It also offers a very wide range of reverb options and multiple presets for storage.
Only a US price has been revealed so far – the Express Echosystem expected to street at US $449.
