Ernie Ball’s much anticipated Expression series dynamic foot controlled effects pedals are now available for pre-ordering in the UK, from exclusive distributor, Strings and Things.
Two models are on the way – the Expression Series Ambient Delay and the Expression Series Overdrive and both have already been getting the benefit of Ernie Ball’s strong online marketing, with website demos newly available from Ilan Rubin of Nine Inch Nails. In addition what looks like a formidable build quality, what sets the Expression Series apart is the use of a ‘volume pedal style’ foot control, which enables the player to add foot sweepable emphasis to his playing. The striking polished gold and rose coloured aluminium housings won’t fail to draw attention, either.
The Expression Series Ambient Delay provides 50 to 750 milliseconds of delay time layered with reverb, for everything from slap-back to extended repeats. It features settings for delay time and feedback, as well as reverb level, with a foot-sweepable effect level control to integrate anything from subtle textures to ambient soundscapes.
Strings and Things says the Ernie Ball Expression Overdrive delivers everything from a hint of natural tube-amp-like overdrive and rhythm crunch to searing lead tones. It features settings for drive, boost and tone, with a foot-sweepable overdrive control, making it effortless to go from clean to roaring all-out growl and everything in between.
