Shergold’s second coming

Shergold, the UK guitar brand revived by Barnes & Mullins earlier this year, has announced the introduction a fourth new model, the SM04SD Masquerader.
In line with the three introductory Masquerader models, the SM04SD has been designed by British luthier Patrick James Eggle, but is the first to feature a solid mahogany neck and Macassan ebony fingerboard. Also unique to this new model is the double humbucker configuration with a USA Seymour Duncan ’59 in the neck and TB-4 in the bridge.
The SM04SD is exclusively available in a Thru-Black gloss finish with a black, genuine Bakelite scratchplate. In keeping with all current Masquerader models, it offers inlaid aluminium lined fret and side markers, a custom PJE-designed Shergold T-bridge and staggered, locking machineheads.
With the initial SM01SD featuring Humbucker/P90 pickups, the SM02SD offering Humbucker/Single/Single and the SM03SD sporting Single/Single/Single, the SM04’s double humbucker array rounds-out the new Shergold line-up offering something for lovers of all the traditional pickup arrangements.
The RRP will be £799.
