UFiP’s latest range of cymbals. the Vibra Series, is now available in the UK, from distributor The Music Shipping Co. Vibra is based on UFiP’s Blast Crash series, MSC says but: “evolves this into a modern unique sound but still based on the traditional authentic cymbal tone which UFIP is renowned for. They are traditionally cast, from B20 Bronze, using the unique Rotocast method.”
MSC adds that the special hand hammering process applied to the new Vibra is based on the traditional UFiP manufacturing method however the Vibra hammering procedure, together with a unique high polish finish, results in a totally new type of cymbal. ”The Crashes are explosive, with great attack but with a medium to long decay time. The Rides are very controlled, with excellent stick definition, the Hi Hat’s are powerful and dynamic and designed to meet any style of music.”
UFiP products are currently available from a limited number of specialist UFiP Cymbals Centres, at stores throughout the UK. UFiP retailers are able to send or bring customers to the UFiP Pro Centre in Kidderminster to hear a bigger selection of products and, uniquely, MSC offers the facility for drummers to travel to the UFiP factory in Tuscany to discuss their needs and to tailor cymbals to their own specific requirements and taste.
